i heart (brooklyn).

what i'm loving lately ... brooklyn !

Carroll Gardens Greenmarket - open every sunday year-round and it's right around the corner from my apt ...
Prospect Park - it's not Central Park but it's really pretty and i can't wait to explore it more ...
Joya - my favorite thai place doesn't require a trip to a different borough anymore ...
antique shops - so much more reasonably priced than manhattan shops. i found some jewels and a handbag at Brownstone Treasures. we bought a farm table (only $125!) at Prophecies - no website. 665 President Street. 718.230.3022 (in the winter they turn into an art gallery). the owner of the place below, who was so nice and interesting (he used to work in the fashion industry, in the garment district years ago) ...
Brooklyn Heights Promenade - the views of the city are amazing (and sometimes i might be a peeping tom and try to get a glance into the windows of the beautiful homes along the promenade) ...
Trader Joe's - after going to the one on 14th street in manhattan for years, it's so nice to shop in this big store and not have grocery shopping be a hectic, crazy experience ...
Brooklyn Bridge - great to walk, run or bike across with awesome views ...
the quiet ... we have had the windows open and it's so quiet, you don't even know they're open ...
all the pretty brownstones ...

sorry if it's been brooklyn overload lately, i'm just excited about the new hood (after living on the upper east side for 6 years, it's fun to have change) :)

happy hump day!
